Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  I’m on a limited grocery budget, what will my grocery bill be?
A:  We build our meal plans using budget friendly ingredients.

Q:  How long do the meals take to cook and are they difficult to cook?
A:  Meals can be prepared in about 30 minutes.  Completing the optional weekend prep list will save even more time during the week.  Meals are simple to prepare and include easy methods such as slow cooker, sheet pan and one pot cooking.

Q:  Does this include a grocery list with the meals?
A:  The weekly meal plans come with a categorized grocery list with a letter guide behind each ingredient.  If you don't want to make Monday's meal, you simply cross out all ingredients on the grocery list that have an [M] behind it.

Q:  Are the meal plans customizable?
A:  Yes!  We offer a premium plan that includes a mobile app.  This allows you to customize your meal plan and you'll also have a mobile grocery list.  Our premium plan is only $4/month for the annual plan or $7/month for the monthly plan.

Q:  What does Meal Squeeze cost?
A:  Our annual plans start at only $3.25/month and our month-by-month plans start at only $5/month.

Q:  Are the meals gluten free?
A:  Many of the meals are naturally gluten free, and most others can be modified easily, such as using gluten free pasta.

Q:  Do you only service the Midwest?
A:  No!  We have members from coast to coast using Meal Squeeze!

Q:  I have diabetes, will this meal plan work for me?
A:  All Meal Squeeze meals are well balanced, and are generally around 30-45 grams of carbs per serving, which is an appropriate range for most people with diabetes.  The occasional pasta dish may be closer to 60 grams.  Some members choose to eat lower carb diets, and they make simple substitutions to reduce the carbs, like using riced cauliflower instead of rice, or zucchini noodles instead of regular pasta.

Q:  Do you accommodate for allergies and intolerances?
A:  At this time Meal Squeeze does not provide personalized meal plans, however, many members are able to make small modifications for allergies and intolerances.  Many of the meals are naturally gluten free and/or dairy free, and most others can be modified easily.  Nuts are not common, and are easy to exclude as they are sometimes used for garnish.  Tonya is well versed in allergies and is happy to suggest substitutions you may need.
